Dr. Joseph Giannetta is a primary care sports medicine physician specializing in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries in patients of all ages. He has advanced training in ultrasound-guided procedures, concussion management, and injury prevention, and works closely with athletes and active individuals to create personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and long-term performance. 

Dr. Giannetta earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency and fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. He also holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from the University of Scranton. 

He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the Family Medicine Education Consortium. Dr. Giannetta takes a patient-first approach, emphasizing education, communication, and minimally invasive care to help patients return to the activities they love. 

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Giannetta enjoys cheering on his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and the New York Jets. He loves spending time outdoors with his wife Amanda, their daughter Nora, and their energetic Bernedoodle, Macaroni. As a family, they enjoy hiking, exploring nature, and relaxing at the beach, especially in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
