MICHAEL W. SCHWEPPE, M.D.

Michael W. Schweppe, originally from Queens, New York, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated in 1984. After serving in the US Army for seven years as an airborne ranger infantry officer, Dr. Schweppe attended medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, graduating in 1995. He completed his residency training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 2001, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Schweppe is currently the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Northern Dutchess Hospital. Trained in all areas of orthopedic surgery, he
is particularly interested in the treatment of pediatric and adult sports injuries and fractures, as well as knee and shoulder replacement surgery.


Dr. Schweppe is an avid yoga practitioner and is a certified yoga instructor. He enjoys cycling, playing guitar and spending time with his wife, four children, and five dogs.
