Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Niraj Sharma to our pain management team.  Dr. Sharma's education and dedication to her paiteients makes her a perfect fit for Orthopedic Associates.
 

Niraj Sharma, MD is a fellowship trained Interventional physiatrist and Pain management physician. She completed her Internship at MCP-Hahnemann University Hospital and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. This is where she served as Chief Resident . Her fellowship was completed at Temple University Hospital also in Philadelphia. She is certified by both the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine.

She utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management combining medications, therapy, life style modifications, in addition to various interventional spine procedures such as epidurals and facet blocks. She specializes in both acute and chronic pain conditions of the spine such as spinal stenosis, herniated discs, radiculopathies, as well as, shoulder, hip and knee ailments. She is also trained in performing EMG and nerve conduction studies.
