Richard Dentico, M.D.

Dr. Richard Dentico is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  He received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark NJ. After residency he completed a fellowship in non-operative sports medicine and interventional spinal procedures.

Dr. Dentico is a diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Member of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Dentico specializes in non-operative management of musculoskeletal pathology including arthritic conditions of the spine, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, and radiculopathies, as well as, shoulder, hip and knee ailments in both the acute and chronic setting. He also performs EMG and nerve conduction studies. Dr. Dentico has extensive training in x-ray guided spinal injection procedures and ultrasound guided injections to facilitate the healing process. His training has included experience with platelet rich plasma therapy injections which is a new modality to treat chronic tendon pathology. Dr. Dentico uses a conservative, multidisciplinary approach to restore normal pain-free motion while improving function/performance and quality of life.

Dr. Dentico grew up in Bronx, NY and recently moved to Rhinebeck, NY with his wife Michelle and 5 children. Dr. Dentico is an avid sports fan whose interests include golfing, music, baseball and spending time with his family.
