ANDREW STEWART, M.D.
Dr. Andrew Stewart joined Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County in 2005. He is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine, with a focus on injuries of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Stewart earned his medical degree from Columbia University and completed his orthopedic training at New York Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, where he also served as Chief Resident. He continued his training by completing a fellowship in Sports Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he cared for high-level skiers, snowboarders and other Olympic winter athletes. He has also worked with the New York Yankees, Major League Soccer, and the Columbia University athletic department.
Dr. Stewart is proficient in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures for injuries to the knee, shoulder and elbow, including ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, and cartilage restoration procedures. He takes an interest in comprehensive sports injury management, from rehabilitation to bracing and return to sport.
Dr. Stewart lives with his wife and two sons in Dutchess County and enjoys running, skiing and snowboarding, literature and music.
